Hitchhiker's Guide

Blargh... I finally got to see HHGTTG last night. I can easily say that I was very dissapointed. Not with the screenplay, and not with the actors, but more because it just lost that classic Douglas Adams charm. For instance, in the book, you get the fabulous line,

"'Ford,' said Arthur, 'You're turning into a penguin. Stop it.'"

Sadly, there was no penguin transformation, or any of the other hilarious witty parts from the book. However, I did find Marvin to be the best thing ever. Everything about him was hilarious. How he walked from the depression, he was all in all the best thing about it. I was actually saddened when he 'died.' Hilarious conclusion too, thanks to Marvin as well. I'd suggest seeing it if you haven't read the books in a long while, but otherwise, wait to rent it at blockbuster. Now I've just got to get my hands on the television version.

I had to reupload Modern Marvel at least 5 times. I then gave up and just deleted it alltogether, and then put it on again. Basically, if you've been watching me, you have have a load of message centre items. Sorry about that. > _>

Making Vector Art- It's a Blast

Thu Apr 21, 2005, 7:29 PM
So, I think that my skill with Illustrator is becoming better. At this point, I usually try to focus on something for each piece. For License to Rawk, I used positive and negatives, then moved to color and strokes on Key to the World, and I just worked on shading with Shades of Love. I hope to become very proficient by the time that vectoring gets dull. Then I suppose I'll work on some photography.
