Artist's Comments

There are a couple of things with this devation that I didn't like at first, but now have sort of grown on me. First is that there are supposed to be bars at the second level of the lighthouse. I couldn't really get them to look good, so I decided to scrap them in hopes of making the overall piece look better. I also didn't like the clouds at first, but I think they look swell now.

EDIT: I tried to do a little reworking with the clouds, and I think this works a lot better, as it is less of a distraction now.

Love it. The only problem I've got with it is that the bottom cloud has the same shades as the lighthouse, and they sorta blend together, if you see what I'm saying.

I patched up the clouds a bit. Think they're contrasted enough? Also, can you see the preview picture, because it's not loading for me.

That's pretty impressive. You're already using shadows, which are a total bitch for me (especially on people...ugh), and the clouds came out good. Clouds are also a bitch.

A little problem: it looks like you used Stroke on the upmost circle of the lighthouse, but not anywhere else, so it sort of turns up odd.

Wow, this is so subtle, and yet so effective...I should try something like this in the future...Wow, I actually don't know of any improvements to this (if you change it, it lose that beautiful simplicity)
